Happy Monday! It's (finally) cool here.
I've got a cup of tea and several tabs open to read this week.

• The Therapist in the Machine, by Jess McAllen for The Baffler
• Schools vs. Screens, by Luc Rinaldi for Macleans
• Fiction Domestic Violence, by Madeline Ashby in Slate (Yes, the same author as the Wired story!)
  TW: Domestic violence, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, murder

Bonus: Haymarket Books is giving away "10 Free Ebooks for Getting Free" (though not all 10 are available in every country)
Unlike a lot of "free ebooks," these are books you've actually heard of, like Elite Capture and Freedom is a Constant Struggle

How is everyone doing? What have you read recently? What did you read ages ago that you're still thinking about?

Hi, these are super interesting as always! I love reading your recommended articles during idle times at work and often recommend them to my family & friends!
I wanted to ask if there was a way to remove the lock next to the date (I think it might be connected to the limited visibility/adult restriction?), for some reason it makes the posts not show up in the RSS reader I use to follow this community and I'd love to make sure I don't miss any of the new posts!
If not I also completely get it, I'm guessing it also has something to do with content moderation!

I have my Dw set to default to friends only/members locked, but I'll try to remember to change that when I post here - and if I forget, feel free to poke me about it and I'll go in and change the privacy settings!
