I have a dental implant and it was expensive ($3,000+ out of pocket because I didn't have insurance at the time; I had to crowdfund online to afford it) but I guess there's no way to ever know if I got scammed and the real tooth could've been saved with a (less expensive) root canal and crown. That said, I had another tooth shatter the same way (it's genetic) and when I went to my new dentist in a different country and asked if it would have to be pulled, she literally laughed in my face, so…
